Vera
The actual town of Vera is slightly inland and is perfect for people wanting to be busy and find something to do instead of sun bathing on the beach.
Historically one of the most important commercial centres in this region.
Built in the 16th Century there are many historic buildings to see mostly located in the main square of Plaza Mayor. These include the Church de la Encarnación (built in 1520) with its four great towers and designed to act as a fortress to repel the attacks by the Moors.

Garrucha

Garrucha is an old and well established fishing port with origins back to the 16th century. There is a beautiful 2Km promenade that runs the length of the town with wide sandy beaches stretching to crystal clear waters on one side, and palm trees, restaurants, cafes, shops and the town extending out on the other.
The port is home to a small fishing fleet and has approximately 300 moorings for leisure boats.
Every Friday Garrucha holds a local market in which fresh fruit, vegetables, clothing and a variety of household goods can be purchased.

Mojácar is a very popular tourist resort with great beaches.
There are two distinctly different parts which are 2 km apart – Mojácar Playa is the modern beach resort, whilst Mojácar Pueblo is the original village perched up higher on the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera, a legacy from the Arabs. The city centre still has a peculiar layout of narrow streets, secluded corners, and terraces that were dug on the side of the hill as if they were steps.
Below the town, we have more than five kilometres of magnificent beaches.
Aqua Park.
The Aquatic Park Aquavera is located on Vera Beach, between the towns of Garrucha and Villaricos.
With a variety of different attractions for you to enjoy: the "Tsunami", a V-shaped slide, in addition to the attractions of Black Holes, Kamikaze, Aquodromo, Labyrinth of Slides, Adventure River, Wave Pool, Lake Pool , Kids Pool and the Splash Bucket. On top of this the little ones can enjoy Adventure in the Tree.
When you need to regain strength there is a kiosk, bar and self-service available; where you can choose from a variety of foods. You can also bring your own food, but remember,… nothing in glass containers.
